Seasons of Nature
The Bluest Eyes is divided into four different seasons. Morrison does this to portray that the events that take place in each season are unnatural and should not happen seasons. For example, “Pecola’s baby dies in autumn, the season of harvesting.” (Sparkenotes, 2013) This shows how each character is miserable and that there are certain things that should happen in certain seasons.

Whiteness
Whiteness is affiliated with the beauty of black people because black people feel that they are ugly and that they should look like white people.

Eyes
Pecola wants blue eyes because she believes that her life can change with a set of blue eyes. In The Bluest Eye Morrison refers to another character’s eyes Yacobowski’s and how he bee’s mean to Pecola and that he cannot see that Pecola is a black girl. This shows how people see each other and how people are seen.
